Jamaica's Hotels Rank As World's Best Places To Stay

Three of Jamaica’s top resorts were included on this year’s coveted Condé Nast Traveler 2012 Gold List, in the Atlantic and Caribbean Islands Hotels & Resorts category. The celebrated properties include The Caves, Couples Swept Away, and Sandals Whitehouse European Village & Spa. Each was selected as one of the best places to stay in the world by receiving high marks on the magazine’s Reader’s Choice Survey, a collective result of 18+ million votes cast by savvy travelers from around the world.

Jamaica's Hotels Honoured By Expedia As Top Producers

Expedia, Inc., the largest online travel company in the world, recognized Jamaica as one of its top producing partners in the Caribbean at Expedia’s annual Partner Appreciation event, which took place during the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association’s Caribbean Marketplace in Paradise Island, Bahamas.

“We’re pleased that our relationship with Expedia has produced significant benefits for the island and our hoteliers,” said John Lynch, Jamaica’s Director of Tourism. “We value our partnership with Expedia and will look for an even greater relationship this year as we continue to grow our visitor arrivals and occupancy figures.”

Jamaica Dominates Trip Advisor's Travelers' Choice Awards

Several of Jamaica’s top resorts were included on this year’s influential Trip Advisor Travelers’ Choice Awards rankings. Jamaica’s regions also won top slots with Montego Bay, Negril and Ocho Rios ranking as three of the top destinations in the Caribbean. Negril was also recognised as one of the world’s best beaches while Jamaica’s Polkerris in Montego Bay was honoured as the number one property in the Best B&Bs and Inns in the Caribbean category.

Jamaica Offers Convenient Travel Options This Winter With Expanded Nonstop Flights

Frequent nonstop flights and increased seasonal service from major U.S. gateways continue to make Jamaica an ideal and accessible destination for travelers this winter. Airline, tour and charter operators servicing Jamaica are supplementing nonstop service from most major gateways in the United States, with a projected increase of over 13,000 air seats compared to last year.

“We’re continually working with our travel partners to ensure visitors have many options to arrive with ease,” said Jamaica’s Director of Tourism, John Lynch.  “A variety of special charters and regularly scheduled nonstop flights to Jamaica make it a breeze to escape the cold to Jamaica for even a last minute long weekend.”

Jamaica Expands Reach in Latin America With New Copa Service

The Jamaica Tourist Board and Copa Airlines today announced new flight service between Panama City’s Tocumen International Airport (PTY) and Jamaica’s Sangster International Airport (MBJ) in Montego Bay. Travelers can now book flights on Copa Airlines for travel starting December 11, in time for the holiday season.
