Resource Basic School and Others Receive Labour of Love from First Heritage Credit Union


The Resource Basic School, in rural south Manchester were unable to complete the work to update their bathrooms and so students have been using the original pit latrines that were previously built.  Pictured is the building that existed before the labour day activities of First Heritage Co-operative Credit Union (FHC).Students and teachers at the Resource Basic School in Manchester are now enjoying the convenience of modern bathroom facilities thanks to the assistance of First Heritage Co-operative Credit Union (FHC) and other benefactors. On Labour Day, FHC team members comprising the Wealth Development Unit, along with the Mandeville and May Pen branches joined with community members for the school project which Vice Principal Ivorlyn Thompson described as an urgent need.



Annual National Convention Attracts Jamaicans from Across the Island to Learn About Islam


The 3rd Annual Convention, the premier national event of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at Jamaica, is scheduled to launch on May 23rd and May 24th, 2015 at the Mahdi Mosque, Old Harbour, St Catherine, Jamaica.

The convention attracts participants from across the West Indies, United States and Canada. The Annual convention provides a unique spiritual experience for attendees through scholarly presentations and interactive dialogue. The event aims to enable attendees to enhance their academic knowledge, interact with international scholars and engage in an exclusive questions and answers session with global speakers.
