Optimist Club Donates IV Pump To Children's Ward At University Hospital

The children ward at the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI) has moved one step further to providing better health care with the handing over of an Intravenous (IV) Pump by the Sunset Optimist Club of Liguanea.

The IV Pump is a critical instrument used in hospitals to regulate both the rate and amount of medication given to a patient. The children ward, especially the nursery, has faced a longstanding and dire need for IV Pumps.

Jamaican Woman Charged In Lottery Scam Investigation

Officers from Financial Investigation Division of the Ministry of Finance and Planning assisted by officers from the Lottery Task Force within MOCA, on Wednesday 15 May 2013, raided an address in Hanover and conducted a search operation and subsequently arrested a female in connection with an on-going investigation concerning the obtaining of Money by Fraudulent means from an elderly person in Canada.

Following on from the earlier press release yesterday, we can confirm that a 28-year old female Santressa Kerr, who was arrested at her home address yesterday, has been criminally charged with three cases of Money Laundering, one case of Fraud and one case of Conspiracy to Money Laundering, in total five charges.
