JPS customers will see a six percent (6%) decrease in their electricity bills this month as a result of the lower fuel charge being applied to bills.

The Fuel Charge on electricity bills changes each month, depending on the cost of the oil that JPS and other power generating companies buy to produce electricity. This charge makes up about 67% of customers’ electricity bills each month.

The 2013 CB Pan Chicken Championship fires up on Saturday June 29 with the Central Regional Eliminations at the Manchester High School. Free to the public, the festivities commence at 10 am, followed by hours of succulent chicken jerked to perfection, paired with masterfully crafted signature sauces. The Jamaica Cultural Development Commission’s (JCDC) culinary department return as judges to select the winners, who will walk away with cash prizes and bragging rights, as they vie to become the next CB Pan Chicken Grand Champ.

Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) wishes to advise that effective Wednesday, June 5, 2013, the processing of new and renewal of Driver’s Licence has resumed at its Spanish Town Revenue Service Centre (RSC).

Driver’s Licence processing had been suspended, to protect the sensitive equipment used as well as due to the discomfort being experienced by customers and staff, as a result of the malfunctioning of the central air conditioning system at the location.
