Suspected Case Of Theft Of Electrical Cables Leads To Water Problems

JPS has identified a suspected case of theft of electrical cables, as the underlying cause of voltage problems affecting the NWC pumps at Tredegar Park.  This led to widespread water problems today in Kingston, St. Andrew and St. Catherine.  Personnel from JPS discovered that 1,000 feet of wire were removed in the vicinity of Content District in the Tredegar Park community.

Caribbean Pop/Rock Band Jen&OneSixtySix Debuts New Single

Caribbean pop/rock band Jenn&OneSixtySix makes a splash with their debut single and video, "Secrets." The single from the Barbadian band was officially released on their Secrets EP, by U.S.-based label Cherokee Black Music, on March 25, 2013. The song and video continue to rack up rave reviews from critics and fans alike, as the collective brings their unique pop/rock flavor from the islands to the global audience. 

Formed in 2011, Jenn&OneSixtySix comprises of five members - Robyn "Jenn" Proverbs as lead vocalist, Garvie "Gar-V" Griffith on rhythm guitar/vocalist, Jermaine Harding on lead guitar/vocalist, Allan Lewis on bass guitar and Derk "Junior" Gillis on drums. Electricity Theft Email Hotline Yields Results

National Power Provider JPS is reporting that its [email protected] email hotline, has been yielding results.

Thanks to information from citizens and intelligence led efforts, operations carried out in collaboration with members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, in the Manchester communities of Christiana, Coleyville and Silent Hill, have yielded results.  These operations have led to the arrest of eight persons over the period April 4-5.  The individuals hail from Bronte Road, Silent Hill, Bottom Road, Cobla District, Spring Ground District, and Savoy in Christiana.  Several illegal connections were also removed, during the operation.
