Double world record holder, Usain Bolt, is scheduled to produce another magnificent performance at the Athletissima Super Grand Prix track and field meeting today in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Bolt, the new poster boy for athletics, will be one of 12 individual gold medallists from the Beijing Olympics appearing at the meet.  He will be running his favourite event, the 200m, and will be challenged Americans Shawn Crawford, Walter Dix and Wallace Spearmon.

Also appearing at the meet will be former 100m record holder Asafa Powell who is fresh off a blistering 9.87 run in Gateshead on Sunday.  Powell, who finished fifth in Beijing, will go up against five of the runners who appeared in the finals of the 100m at the Olympics including silver medallist Richard Thompson from Trinidad and Tobago, bronze medallist Walter Dix of the USA and fourth place finisher Churandy Martina from the Netherlands Antilles.  Also in the race will be his compatriot Michael Frater and Trinidad and Tobago's Marc Burns.

The women's 100-metre field also has an impressive line-up as six of the finalists from Beijing will be featured.  The Jamaican 1-2-2 of Shelly-Ann Fraser, Kerron Stewart and Sherone Simpson, will be in the line up and will be seeking to replicate their historic podium positions.  They will be up against American sprinters Muna Lee, Torri Edwards and Lauryn Williams, who won at the British Grand Prix on Sunday ahead of Fraser.

In the women's 400 metres, Jamaican Beijing silver medallist, Shericka Williams, will face American Sanya Richards, who finished third at the Olympics.

The women's 100m hurdles will see Jamaicans Brigitte Foster-Hylton and Delloreen Ennis-London, both finalists in Beijing, going up against Americans Dawn Harper and Lolo Jones.  Jones had the Olympic gold within her grasp when she hit the final hurdle and finished 7th.  Also in the race will be Sweden's Susanna Kallur and the 2004 Olympic champion Johanna Hayes from the USA.

Malaine Walker will be running her pet event, the 400m hurdles, and is expected to win following her easy victory at the British Grand Prix in Gateshead on Sunday.
