Lyons had a pedigree for the contest as her mother, Marie-Claire Lyons, was a runner-up in the 1980 contest won by Michelle Harris. The University College of the Caribbean student is an all-rounded young lady as she has won medals in both swimming and water polo. She is also an artist and loves designing. Her goal is to become a Fashion Marketing Manager and create her own clothing line. The First Runner-Up was Jade Grant and the Second Runner-Up was Marshagay Reynolds. The 19-year old beauty, who also copped the 'Beach Beauty' award, said she was surprised about her win. "I am just really and truly couldn't believe, I thought they were wrong when they announced it, I am just so overwhelmed," she said. The St. Andrew resident will represent Jamaica at the Miss World 2008 contest later this year.
