Delloreen Ennis- London, Jamaica’s veteran 110m hurdler, won her pet event at Friday’s Golden League meet in Paris.  One of just three Jamaicans in action, the 2007 World Championship bronze medallist, ran away from her competitors to win with a time of 12.66 seconds.

Her closest competitors were reigning Olympic champion Joanna Hayes who finished second in 12.76 seconds and her American compatriot Dawn Harper, 12.79.

Danny McFarlane continued his run of consistent performances by coming in second in the men’s 400m hurdles.  He was timed in 48.71 seconds behind Trinidadian-born American Kerron Clement who won the event in 48.33 seconds.  Another American, Angelo Taylor, finished third.

In the men’s 100m, Dwight Thomas, aiming to justify his selection in Jamaica’s Olympic team, ran 10.27 seconds to finish fourth.  The podium finishers were winner Marc Burns (10.14) of Trinidad, Frenchman Martial Mbandjock (10.17) who took second and American Mark Jelks, 10.26 in third.
