World record-holder Usain Bolt and former record-holder Asafa Powell had easy wins as they advanced into the 100-meter final Saturday in Jamaica's Olympic trials. Running into a headwind, Powell won his semifinal in 10.20 seconds, and Bolt took the second heat in 10.40 seconds. Last month in New York, Bolt ran a 9.72 to break Powell's world record of 9.74. In the final semifinal, Nesta Carter won with a personal-best 10.04. On the women's side, Sherone Simpson ran an 11.08 to win ahead of Veronica Campbell-Brown (11.24) in the second semifinal.
