Half Moon, the luxury five star resort in Rose Hall Monetgo Bay, is set to build a collection of 30 ultra luxury villas called The Colony at Half Moon .

According to the developers, Oleander Development Limited, the development is destined to be the best in Jamaica when it is opened in 2010.

The Colony at Half Moon enjoys a prime oceanfront site set on Half Moon’s 400-acres and will offer a choice of 3, 4 or 5-bedroom, spacious villas from 275 square meters up to 500 square meters with private swimming pools and ocean views.

In addition, Villa owners will also enjoy a full compliment of staff including a butler, cook, housekeeper, laundress and gardener. trained to exacting international standards.

Richard Whitfield, managing director of Half Moon, comments: “The Colony at Half Moon is the Caribbean’s most desirable ownership opportunity in over 50 years and the perfect chance for discerning travelers to become a part of the Half Moon family.

“Our aim with The Colony at Half Moon is to redefine the finest in leisure living by offering ultra luxurious accommodations combined with the exceptional service that is synonymous with the Half Moon name.

“New villa owners also have the advantage of having our complete resort infrastructure already in place. As soon as the villas are finished, they can start to enjoy all of the facilities that Half Moon offers.”

Conde Nast Traveler, the "bible" for the upscale, affluent traveller, recently named Half Moon to its 2008 Gold List.
