Jamaican, Rorie Bennett, 27, of Ocho Rios, St. Ann was among a group of three men held during a drug bust in the Bahamas on Sunday night.  Also arrested in the operation were brothers Taffron Fraizer, 37, and Edrico Fraizer, 26, of Jolly Bain Subdivision, Carmichael Road in the Bahamas

According the Bahamian police, the three were spotted loading the illicit cargo off a go-fast boat on East Bay Street on Sunday night. 

The men fled and the resulting car chase ended in the vicinity of the Town Centre Mall where the men were apprehended.  It is alleged that the men had a total of 224 pounds of marijuana in crocus bags and coolers. The drugs have an estimated street value of nearly $250,000, according to police.

The men were charged with possession of dangerous drugs, the intent to supply, the importation of dangerous drugs, conspiracy to possess dangerous drugs and conspiracy to import dangerous drugs.

During the arraignment, the Fraizer brothers pleaded not guilty to the charges. Bennett pleaded guilty.

They men are expected back in court on June 3.
