Lush, beautiful, authentic Jamaica provides the setting for popular tween book series Beacon Street Girls ' newest book "Katani's Jamaican Holiday," which goes on sale June 3. Now fans of the series can plan their own Jamaican adventure just like Katani, with a special travel package from Atlas Travel International, the exclusive travel partner of the Beacon Street Girls. This special package, created especially for families, highlights many of the family-friendly experiences featured throughout the book and found across the island of Jamaica.

"The Jamaica Tourist Board is highly anticipating the launch of 'Katani's Jamaican Holiday,' which will introduce the family-friendly side of Jamaica to a whole new set of travelers -- tweens," said Basil Smith, Jamaica's Director of Tourism. "This wholesome book series has captured the essence of Jamaica's unique culture, heritage and people, and we are excited to share it first-hand with families through this special travel package."

Atlas Travel International's Katani package offers four nights, all-inclusive accommodations (land only) at participating resorts in Jamaica, plus one special adventure per traveler. Participating hotels and partners include: Sunset Beach Resort & Spa, The Ritz Carlton Golf & Spa Resort, Half Moon, Round Hill Hotel and Villas, Riu Negril, Grand Lido Negril, Gran Bahia Principe Jamaica, Grand Lido Braco, Jake's Resort, FDR Resorts, Beaches Sandy Bay and Chukka Caribbean Adventures.

The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) and B*tween Productions worked together to create and promote the latest Beacon Street Girls special adventure book, "Katani's Jamaican Holiday."  The fictional story teaches tween girls to nurture their own family roots while they learn about Jamaica, its rich history, culture and lifestyle.

In December 2007, Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing, one of the leading children's book publishers in the world, added the Beacon Street Girls series to its tween imprint, Aladdin M!X. "Katani's Jamaican Holiday" is the first Beacon Street Girls book to be released under this partnership, which is expected to dramatically expand the brand's reach globally.
