Trinidad and Tobago are likely to have the services of six English-based players for their huge friendly against England next month. The six appeared at the FIFA 2006 World Cup Finals in Germany and are expected to strengthen the Soca Warriors' squad. The six English-based players are Sunderland's duo Kenwyne Jones and Carlos Edwards, Stern John of Southampton, defender Dennis Lawrence of Swansea, goalkeeper Clayton Ince of League Two club Walsall and the in-form Swansea striker Jason Scotland. Jones, Edwards, Lawrence and John, the all-time leading scorer for T&T with 64 goals in 93 appearances, all played a part in the match against England in Nuremburg which T&T lost 0-2 via two late goals from Peter Crouch (85th) and Steven Gerrard (88th). The quartet will be eager to avenge that defeat in front of their home crowd although they have not yet been confirmed for the match. The match, dubbed 'A Score To Settle', is all part of the T&T Football Federation (TTFF) centennial year celebrations and comes two weeks before the Soca Warriors kick off their "Road to South Africa" World Cup 2010 second round CONCACAF qualifying series. Tickets, which have been priced at TT$300 (JA$3,410), TT$600 (JA$6,820) and TT$1200 (JA$13,641), are already sold out for the June 1 friendly at the Hasely Crawford Stadium. “It’s a very big and important day for T&T,” said national coach, Colombian Francisco Maturana in a report on the English FA Web site. Meanwhile, Englan coach, Fabio Capello will name his England squad tomorrow night - to stop any Premier League title celebrations getting out of hand. The England boss has brought forward the naming of his 30-man squad to ensure they stay in good shape despite the ending of the League season. Capello will name a provisional squad for the match against Trinidad which will later be trimmed down. Capello is considering giving another chance to Arsenal youngster Theo Walcott, while he has been monitoring Tottenham midfielder Tom Huddlestone and West Ham goalkeeper Robert Green. Capello is also likely to give Chelsea defender John Terry his chance in his latest round of auditions for the England captaincy after being hugely impressed by his performances in his club's push for the title. Rio Ferdinand has staked his claim and Capello is a big admirer of the Manchester United defender. But Terry will be given his chance. Capello said: "I think I need to see what their attitude is about wearing the armband, on pitch and off it - that's why I haven't chosen yet. "I will make my decision based on their attitude on the pitch and their behaviour off the field as well.
