The recent rise in violence in Central Kingston has the police searching for eight men who they believed are intimately involved with the crime wave.

Central Kingston, which includes the communities of Southside and Tel Aviv, has seen an intensification in a turf war which has left several persons dead and many others injured.  The police believe the eight men may be of assistance to them. All are wanted in connection with gun-related incidents, including murder, shooting with intent, robbery with aggravation and breaches of the firearms act.

The men wanted by the police are Marlon 'Truety' McMillian of 31 Johns Street, Kingston 20; Dwayne 'Blagga' Leslie of 6A Barry Street, Kingston, and his brother, Dwight Leslie, of 4A Barry Street; Anthony 'Delung' Stewart from 11 Maiden Lane; A man known only as 'Nicholas', or 'Meeko Fras'; Leebert 'Vado' Thompson, otherwise called 'Anti-crime', of Steven Street, Kingston; Dave 'Cudjoe' McFarlane, of 15 St James Street; and Duell 'Fross' Williams who is said to frequent the Text Lane and Laws Street areas of the division

Anthony 'Delung' Stewart is being sought in connection with the shooting of a police officer and Duell 'Fross' Williams is wanted for shooting at the police.  Both are considered armed and dangerous.

Two men, who were previously on the list, were shot dead last Friday during separate shoot-outs with the police. They have been identified as Nicholas Gordon and a man identified only as 'Chinna Man'.

The addresses provided for these men are their last known ones. The police are requesting the full cooperation of the public, and request anyone with information about any of these men to call the Kingston Central police at 922-5076, 922-0421, or the Major Investigation Task Force at 924-9848.
