Balcombe Drive, in west central St. Andrew, was the scene of another double murder yesterday.  The victims are Sashana Hall and her mother, Bonito Taylor. The two were killed at their house yesterday morning when gunmen invaded. The attack is believed to be linked to a feud between some residents of Balcombe Drive and another community.

Ironically, one of the gunmen involved in the shooting, was himself shot by his cronies, police said, after several  stray bullets fired at the two women missed their intended target.  The gunman was identified as Sheldon Falconer, 26, of no fixed address.

Reportedly, some residents tried to burn Falconer's body but were prevented from doing so by police officers. Residents became irate when morgue attendants attempted to put his body alongside those of the two women. The police were then forced to put Falconer's body in the back of a marked police car.

According to residents of Balcombe, Falconer's sidekicks attempted to carry him from the scene but he collapsed and died along the Balcombe Drive roadway.

More than twelve heavily armed men invaded the community in the early hours of the morning,  residents of Balcombe Drive said.

"The killers come in two cars and dressed like police. They corralled all of Balcombe Drive and just a kick off people door and just a shoot wild," one woman said.

Another elderly resident said he and his wife narrowly escaped harm when two of the invaders kicked open the door to their small home.

"One go in the bathroom and look and another in the kitchen. Then one point the gun at me and her [while] the two of we lay down on the bed. Me tell him 'Boss is two of we in here so don't bother kill we' and the man them come out," the man said.

The three were among six persons killed in the Corporate Area between Wednesday night and yesterday morning. The other three who met violent deaths were identified as Sherema Walters and Rodney 'Rado' Morris of Grant's Pen and 57-year-old businessman Dennis Fong.

Fong, a businessman, was attacked and shot by two gunmen in Rockfort, East Kingston just after 7 am yesterday morning. Police say Fong, a licensed firearm holder, returned the fire scaring off the gunmen. He later died while undergoing treatment in hospital.

Morris was killed by unknown assailants along Grant's Pen Drive on Wednesday night. Police say residents heard explosions and called them. Morris' body was found in the roadway when they arrived.

Hours later, at approximately 8:24 am yesterday, Sherema Walters and her boyfriend were shot and injured along Fagan Drive, also in Grants Pen.  They were reportedly attacked shortly after he arrived at the house to take her to work.  Both were subsequently taken to hospital where Walters was pronounced dead.
