Bolt & Powell to meet in Sweden |

The two fastest men ever to run the 100m will go head-to head at a pre-Olympic meet in Stockholm.
World record holder, Usain Bolt, and the man whose record he took, Asafa Powell, will race on June 22 in Sweden at the Super Grand Prix meet.
This will probably be the last race between the men before the Olympics.

Following the successful national track and field trials, the Jamaica Amateur Athletic Association has named a strong 51-member track-and-field squad for the Olympic Games in Beijing next month.
Simone Facey, who failed to make the women's 100m final at last weekend trials, is the only surprise. The squad will be led by the 100m world record holder, Usain Bolt, and reigning 200m Olympic champion Veronica Campbell-Brown.

Sixteen athletes have been selected to represent Jamaica at this weekend's CAC Championships in Cali, Colombia.
MALE: Lerone Clark, Davaon Spence (100m), Xavier Brown (200m), Dacosmo Wright (110mH), Isa Phillips (400mH), Claston Bernard (decathlon), Herbert McGregor, Julian Reid (long jump), Hickel Woolery (discus).
FEMALE: Aleen Bailey (100m/200m), Moya Thompson, Sonita Sutherland (400m), Julian Reynolds (800m), Caltha Seymour, Zara Northover (shot put), Kateema Riettie (javelin)

A Jamaican Police Constable and rugby league international is getting a taste for life in Yorkshire as part of a three month visit to the UK. Clayon Lumsden, a 33-year-old who hails from Kingston, has been visiting schools across the city with Leeds Rhinos mascot Ronnie the Rhino to spread the anti knife crime message and encourage healthy lifestyles amongst youngsters.

Campbell- Brown wins 200m at national trials |

Veronica Campbell- Brown, on Sunday, made ammends for her disappointing fourth place finish in the 100m at the Jamaican Olympic trials by winning the 200m in a world leading 21.94 seconds at Jamaica's National Stadium. It was the first time she was going below 22 seconds and it came at the right time as 100m champion, Kerron Stewart, was breathing down her neck to the finish. Stewart finished with a personal best of 21.99 seconds while Sheron Simpson placed third in 22.11.
The normally stoic Campbell-Brown, was jumping for joy upon realizing that she had finally broken through the 22 second barrier.
