Jamaican woman wins $25m Canadian lottery |

Beverly Palmer, a Jamaican immigrant to Scarborough, Canada, has been without a job since February 2008. She had to wonder how the next month's bills were going to be paid. Well, today she has to wonder no more as she was the sole winner of the June 18 draw of the $25 Million LOTTO 6/49 Jackpot.
Initially, Palmer thought she had won $250,000 after checking her ticket at a self scanner. "There were so many zeros that I lost track!" She called her brother with excitement, and he told her that there was only one winner for the $25 Million Jackpot. At that moment she exclaimed, "That must be me!"

If not the first technical market analyst, W. D. Gann was certainly among the more successful. Creating and publicizing a new approach to analyzing markets, Gann claimed to have made a world’s record in leverage and accuracy more than once, that he had developed trading strategies for speculators, and that he could predict market moves to exact price levels. William Delbert Gann was born on a cotton ranch on June 6, 1878, in Lufkin, Texas. He displayed a strong aptitude in mathematics during his early years, completed a high-school education, and started trading in 1902 at the age of 24. By his own admission, Gann’s early trading was based on “hope, fear and greed,” all of which he later realized were not compatible with a successful trading strategy.

Falmouth pier set to receive world's biggest cruise ship |

Come 2010, the Falmouth cruise ship pier will play host to the world's biggest cruise ship - Oasis of the Seas by Royal Caribbean International.
The ship, which will be thier flagship vessel, is set to feature the first ever 'carousel of the sea' alongside split-level loft apartments when it sets sail in December of 2009.
