Princess will no longer stop in Ocho Rios |

Come 2009, Ocho Rios will no longer be a destination for Princess Cruises as the popular port of Roatan, Honduras, has taken the resort town's place on the cruise ships itinerary.
Princess says Roatan will take the place of Ocho Rios on all of its seven-night Western Caribbean cruises starting on Nov. 7, 2009. The other traditional stops on Princess' Western Caribbean cruises -- Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Princess Cays, the line's private island -- will remain the same.

Jamaica to be Featured on BBC May 18 & 19 |

Jamaica will be featured in two special programmes to be broadcast on the BBC as part of its coverage of the 2008 Chelsea Flower Show. The programmes, which will be aired on Sunday, May 18 and Monday May 19 will look at the historic links between Britain and Jamaica and the passion for flowers, and also the Jamaica Horticultural Society's (JHS) 'Going for Gold' at this year's show.

The 3rd Annual Strawberry Hill High Stakes Backgammon Tournament is scheduled for the weekend of June 6th - 8th. This year’s event promises to be bigger and better with the aim to become a featured event on the international backgammon calendar. Backgammon is a board game for two players who aim to move all their 'checkers' from the board, according to the roll of a dice.
