Jamaica Jazz and Blues Supports Haitian Earthquake Victims PDF

Moved by the recent tragedy in neighbouring Haiti, TurnKey Productions, producers of the JAMAICA Jazz and Blues Festival, have introduced a food relief programme to assist the victims of the earthquake.

"We are very emotionally close to the devastation in Haiti, our trusted Haitian born friend and colleague, Roxanne Hurley is currently on the island," explained TurnKey Executive Producer Walter Elmore.  Elmore went on to explain that his team has not been able to reach Hurley and is growing concerned.

American born R&B songstress, Erykah Badu, will make her second performance in Jamaica on Friday, January 29, at the Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival in The Greenfield stadium, Trelawny.

Erykah Badu burst onto the music scene with a highly anticipated and critically acclaimed 1997 debut album, Baduizm. That album debuted at #2 on the Billboard charts, and its lead single On & On blazed through charts in the US and the UK. Since then, not only has On & On become a soul/R&B anthem, but Erykah has continued to record hit after hit, and mesmerise audiences around the world with her voice.

The countdown has begun to the Caribbean's best music festival - Jamaica Jazz & Blues - which is set to wrap up for three nights on the field of the Greenfield Stadium in Trelawny, just 19 km east of its former home in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Turnkey Productions, producers of the annual festival, says plans are well under day to transform the inner field of the stadium into the phenomenal experience that is associated with Jamaica Jazz & Blues annually.
