 The Las Vegas inspired collection of Indashio will be on display tonight at the Coyaba Gardens & Mahoe Falls Shaw Park Estate in Ocho Rios, St. Ann.
"I am so excited to bring my newest Viva Las Vegas Spring /Summer 2008 Collection to Jamaica! The island is a place I always wanted to visit and I am so inspired by Jamaican style, music and culture. I think Jamaican fashion and cultures has influenced so many internationally I am thrilled to be making my Caribbean debut there," said the celebrity adored designer.

Chris Blackwell launches his own rum label |

 One of Jamaica's leading entrepreneurs, Chris Blackwell, has started what is likely to be another very profitable venture. Famous for bringing reggae and Bob Marley to the world through his Island Records imprint as well as his hotels, namely Goldeneye in Oracabessa, The Caves in Negril and Strawberry in rural St. Andrew, Blackwell has now segued into the rum business by launching his own label called Black Gold, Blackwell's Fine Jamaican Rum.
The dark rum, a recipe that dates back to his family's rum trade in the 17th century, will be produced, bottled and distributed by Jamaica's leading rum producer Wray & Nephew.

Jamaica Day for Caribbean Heritage Month |

(Marketwire) - The sights, sounds and tastes of Jamaica are set to enthrall New York City on Monday, June 2, 2008 in what is being billed as Jamaica Day at the South Street Seaport, Pier 17. The day-long event, organized by the Jamaica Tourist Board, will kick off Caribbean Heritage Month, and is free and open to the public. Festivities start at 11:00 am. Jamaica's Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett and Director of Tourism Basil Smith will lead the island's tourism officials expected to participate in Jamaica Day on June 2. Jamaica Day comes on closely the heels of the arrival of Jamaica Clipper which is part of the Clipper Round The World Yacht Race, now on its way to New York. Jamaica Clipper will dock at the North Cove Marina on June 3, before its departure the following day.
